Sample Products And Increase Sales

by Itay Paz

When you sample products you encourage customers to buy. You also help to earn their trust and create repeat clients. Would you buy a product without first examining it? Probably not, so why should you expect your customers to do the same without sample products? Selling merchandise online can sometimes be a difficult task, especially since you are asking a customer to trust you, when they cant physically see or hold your product. Therefore, you need to provide them with as much detail about your products as you can. You also need to give them a way to sample products to show them what they are buying is a tried and true item, and not a scam. Why do you want customers to be able to sample a product before buying it? * It will help them see the difference between your products and the competition.* Allows them to learn more about the product before buying, which results in fewer returns and more sales.* Gets customers excited about the productHow can you allow customers a taste of what youre selling without giving it away for free? There are different ways you can go about doing this but here are two examples. One will be based on the product sampling of real products and the other for information products. Real products:* Artwork or objects - Show a picture from every angle - if you dont know how to sample products in this way, there are plenty of programs online that can help you achieve your aim. You can also hire a good web designer. * Music - A good music product sampling idea is to let them listen to the first 15 seconds of a few songs * Books - provide synopsis sand reviews If you can afford it, you may also want to provide the visitor with the chance to register for a free sample that youll send to them via mail. Information products:* Services: depending on the type of service you are offering them there are different things you can do. For instance, if you are offering writing services, send them examples of your work. You should also have references freely available, and make it clear that you can be contacted if they would like to learn more about your business credentials. * Books - If youre selling information books or how-to-guides, provide visitors with the table of contents, as well as a short section of the book so they can get a taste of what they will be getting. Essentially, when you are selling merchandise you need to give customers incentive to buy. If you dont give them reasons why your product is worth their while, they will take their business elsewhere. Thus, you need to find a way to sample products - its that simple.
